  6. To attach this custom icon to a file, folder or hard disk:

  8. • Select this file in the Finder;
  9. • Choose Get Info (Command-I) from the File menu;
  10. • In the Info window, click on this file’s icon;
  11. • Choose Copy (Command-C) from the Edit menu and close the Info window;
  12. • Select the target file to which you wish to attach the custom icon;
  13. • Choose Get Info;
  14. • In the Info window, click on the target file’s icon;
  15. • Choose Paste (Command-V) from the Edit menu and close the Info window.
